LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A woman was listed in critical condition Sunday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Skid Row.
The victim, identified as a 51-year-old transient, was apparently asleep in her tent when she was struck.
In a news release issued by Los Angeles police, authorities said the collision on the west sidewalk of Towne Avenue occurred about 2:30 a.m. between 4th Street and 5th Street.

If you look at my February posts about Skid Row and Occupying the Shadow Issues, this is the very place. Please pray for her and for all of them.
If cops use this as an excuse to crack down...see, just this week OLA announced intent to camp there every Friday...FFS, the real danger on Skid Row is poverty, although it appears that people in cars, including some who have no problem hassling the downtrodden (certain police, not all), are the real problem in the area. Period. Clear the abusive cops and laws and we've got a start on improving their quality of living.
Thank you Damon for this story.
